University Malaya is supporting WWF in promoting Earth Hour on the 28th of March, 2009

- Arrival of students

- Registration, distribution of candles and 'Glow in the dark' band

- Registration of volunteers for UM Cares (UM sustainable campus initiative)

- Video viewing

- Arrival of Vice Chancellor

- Welcoming remark by the Sustainability Research Cluster Chairman/UM Cares volunteer, Prof. Nik Meriam Nik Sulaiman

- Opening remark by Vice Chancellor

- Earth Hour countdown

- The lighting of candles (VC will place the first candle)
